In this second installment of Spiraken Movie Review's Month of Melodies, Music, and Mostly Mercurial Protagonists, Kal returns to get his Joss Whedon fix as he and Xan relax to the musical stylings of Neil Patrick Harris and Felicia Day as they review 2008's , Dr Horrible's Sing Along Blog directed by Joss Whedon and starring Neil Patrick Harris, Nathan Fillion, Felicia Day and Bad Horse
Kal and Xan also rant about how the sequel will never come out, how much of a douche Captain Hammer is, and why NPH had so much fun doing this movie.

In this final installment of Spiraken Movie Review's Month of Megahackers, Megatechnology, and Megalomaniac Megacorporations, Deke returns to help Xan to review a satirical cyberpunk masterpiece from 1987 that is one of the most violent movies of all time. So sit back and relax as they review Paul Verhoeven's Robocop starring Peter Weller, Nancy Allen, Dan O'Herlilhy, Ronny Cox, Kurtwood Smith, Miguel Ferrer and Paul McCrane
Besides the usual tangents and insanity accompanied by an episode featuring Deke, our intrepid hosts go over the aspects of cyberpunk which this movie encompasses and how much of our present did this movie predict.

In this third installment of Spiraken Movie Review's Month of Megahackers, Megatechnology, and Megalomaniac Megacorporations, Anime 3000's very own Sean Russell joins Xan to review the quintessential cyberpunk movie from 1982 and based on Philip K. Dick's Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep, Blade Runner directed by Ridley Scott and starring Harrison Ford, Rutger Hauer, Sean Young, Edward James Olmos, Brion James, Joe Turkel, M. Emmet Walsh, Daryl Hannah, William Sanderson and a cameo by James Hong
Due to a poor internet connection, the sound quality of this episode is not as good as I would have liked, but it sounds pretty good overall, so my apologizes. As for the episode itself, there are lots of tangents in this episode: Reasons why Roy Batty Is The Real Protagonist of this movie, Why The replicants were just misunderstood, How Berserk and Bubblegum Crisis can be connected with Blade Runner, The Debate about if Deckard Is Either a) A Replicant, B) A Dick or C) A Flawed Human Being, what kind of future we will have in 2019, Why Did They Decommission the Dick Clark Bot in favor for the Ryan Seacrest 10,000, How we are slaves to society, and eventually ends up at an existential conversation. So hope we are not too high brow in this episode.

In this episode of the Spiraken Manga Review, Xan finishes the Month of Totoros Tanukis and Tenacious Children without the assistance of his usual cadre of co-hosts but does have a surprise guest host to assist him in this great endeavor. For the original Japanese it is starring Yoji Matsuda, Yuriko Ishida, Yuko Tanaka, Kaoru Kobayashi, Tsunehiko Kamijo, Sumi Shimamoto , Akihiro Miwa, and Hisaya Morishige
But that's not all, our intrepid hosts also review the newest Studio Ghibli film, Kari-gurashi no Arietti/ Arrietty/The Secret World of Arriety which was directed by newcomer Hiromasa Yonebayashi and stars (well for the UK release anyway) Saoirse Ronan, Mark Strong, Olivia Colman, Like Allen-Gale, Tom Holland, Phyllida Law, Geraldine McEwan and Ray Gillon. For the original Japanese Dub we have Mirai Shida, Ryunosuke Kamiki, Shinobu Otake, Keiko Takeshita, Tatsuya Fujiwara, Tomokazu Miura, and Kirin Kik as the stars of the film. For the abysmal US Dubm there is Bridget Mendler, David Henrie, Amy Poehler, Gracie Poletti, Moises Arias, Will Arnett, and Carol Burnett.
There is also an in depth discussion about the history of Studio Ghibli as well as some of the other things that Hayao Miyazaki has worked on in his long illustrious career. We also discuss the misadventures of our possible mascot, Barry the Kodama and why some actors should not be voice actors
