So it's con season once again and we are off to cover another convention. So We are off to Animenext

so if you are in the new jersey area, come to The garden state exhibit center and meet Xan and demona as they educate people on the finer points of manga.

Saturday night at 9:30 pm in Panel Room 2 for  Evan M (anigamers.com)'s "Panel Lighting Round" (where several hosts talk about different stuff)

Happy Five Year Anniversery

So can you believe it. Five years since a guy and girl from upstate New York started a podcast,

and look how far we've come 278 podcasts and lots of interesting banter, rants, raves and insanity courtesy of Xan.

Spiraken Movie Article Review: Kung Fu & Titties

So Xan had an adventure on Feb 13th 2013. After a long day at work, he took a drive down to a small film theater in the middle of  a scary part of Brooklyn in order to see if one Joseph "Odie" McConnell would make due on his promise, to show Titties on the big Screen. Yes, after years of Spiraken hyping it and taking about it, it had finally happened. Kung Fu and Titties had its film debut
At this theater, where they had a fully stocked bar (a little over priced but still fully stocked), Xan joined several cast members and fans in a small theater room to finally to see the film that we have talked about for months on end.
The premise is simple, Richard Titties ( Sean Molnar) an out-of-shape martial arts wannabe  is shot into an alternate dimension after his girlfriend Cynthia (Seregon O'Dassey) is kidnapped  by Zeefros ( John Archer Lungren), titty obsessed ruler of a parallel dimension . Richard joins up with his sister Raine Brown, a Gorilla ( Mike Marino) and a gaggle of other strange characters, in order to save his girlfriend. He must search inside, overcome his futile martial arts skills, and find the Kung Fu fighter within if he is to save himself and all those that dwell in the alternate world
Kung Fu & Titties  is a film that has a lot of heart, inventive scenery, and a plot twist that is completely unexpected. From large scale battles between Croatians and invisible armies, to thought provoking discussions with a wise Native American (played by Bronson Pinchot), this film is imaginative and creative in a way that only Odie can bring to the screen. The big drive of this film is the massive amount of bare breasts on display. There are tons of tits and sexy poses throughout this film and if that is why you want to watch this film, then you will not be disappointed.
All of the actors give it their all in this film but the most memorable  is John Archer Lungren as the Evil Zeefros. One part fatherly figure and one part Insane Overlord, this titty obsessed villain is one that you won't forget.
Overall it is a picasso-esque jumble of line and color that at first glance seem simplistic but on further thought has a deeper esthetic that is captivating and whimsical.

Sorry for no real reviews the for the last month, things have been crazy with the new job. But I did record a movie review episode with Kelley Hightower from Mating habits of the modern geek podcast. It should be up really soon. I promise

New Chapter in the life of Xan

Hey Guys,
So it begins, 2013 and I have a new job, I know I know I should be posting a new Manga Review, Movie Review or Game Review but I am really excited for this opportunity to be working in the field that I have a degree in.


The plus side: its a full time job which means more income, a more standard schedule (working 9 to 5) and lots of fun projects to work on.
The negative side: 2.5 hr round trip commute, lots of expenses (gas, tolls, etc), early mornings,
hopefully once I get the time shift down, I will be able to easily edit podcasts on a more regular basis, we shall see where it goes.

Memories of 2012 And Upcoming 2013

Hey Guys,
Can you believe it, another year passes us by and a new one right in front of us. Many things have changed this year, including several trips, weddings, funerals and a new job for Xan (I just got hired today, so 2013 is really looking up). While there have been ups, downs, and surprises, 2012 was a year which hopefully will be a stepping stone in the right direction to something new and amazing. I hope that your new year is as miraculous and wonderful as I am hoping mine will be. Don't worry about the podcast, we have lots of episodes in the q for me to edit so we are not going anywhere. HAve a safe night tonight and if you are interested , leave your notes for what happened on your NYE in the comments below.
